Ardscoil Rath Íomgháin 7-20 Dunlavin 4-7
The boys’ Juvenile team followed up their big win against Gael Colaiste Carlow with another win against Dunlavin on Friday 13th October. On a heavy pitch the lads got off to a good early start with goals from Sean Behan, David Dunne, Conor Maher and Jamie Barry Guing. With the both the full back and half back lines playing very well, the half time score was Ardscoil Rath Íomgháin 5-8 Dunlavin 1-2. The start of the second proved a different story. Dunlavin attached relentlessly and scored 3-2 to storm right back into the match. Ardscoil managed to get a foothold around the middle of the pitch with Tadgh Watson, Conor Maher and Sean Dempsey winning some vital ball. Jamie Barry Guing and David Dunne hit some lovely points to settle things down again. Further goals from Sean Behan and Alex Conlon sealed a fine victory on a final score line of
Ardscoil Rath Íomgháin 7-20 Dunlavin 4-7. Ardscoil have now qualified for the quarter final of the South Leinster Championship, but will face a tough test against Portlaoise (who also have already qualified) next Friday 20th October to see who finishes top of the group.
