Ardscoil Rathiomghain VS Naas C.B.S

The game started quite slow with very little scores being kicked from both sides. Rathangan strikes first with a point from Chillie Donnelly. The next score didn't come for a while because of strong defensive performances from both teams. The first score first Naas was a point off a 45. Rathangan played great possession football in the first half creating many scoring opportunities. The game was quite physical throughout the first with some big collisions such as Rathangans Kevin Martin hitting a Naas player a shoulder which sent the Naas player tumbling over the sideline. As this happened the crowd erupted into applause to support such a great physical display. Rathangans Robert Walsh came on late in the 1st half but had an immediate impact in the game scoring a goal and making some very important defensive stops.
The first half ended with a score of Rathangan 1-4 Naas 0-3

The second half opened quite physically with both teams tackling hard. Some Naas players got too physical and gave away frees, rathangan was delighted with this as they had a very confident free taker in Aran Teahan. Rathangan played more possession football in the second half leading to more scores. The Naas players got frustrated with this and conceded a number of frees. Naas got a controversial penalty but nevertheless they only got a point from it.
The game ended with a score of Rathangan 2-7 Naas 0-10
